In June 2012 Keith, Matt & Dave will be climbing the three highest mountains in Wales (Snowdon), England (Scafell Pike), Scotland (Ben Nevis) and cycling between each mountain (carrying all our equipment) a total of approximately 500 miles in 10 days and also raising funds for Galloways Society for the Blind,a Charity based in Preston, who support more than 6,500 blind and visually impaired people across Lancashire and beyond.
On Sunday we had a ride to Settle via Waddington & Grindleton, lunch in the Naked Man and a return journey over Tosside, Slaidburn & Dunsop Bridge.
70 very tough miles with the bikes fully loaded, only 39 days to go!!!!
Went out for a bit of a loop tonight after work and the knee is feeling ok. Just need to try it on a bit of a longer ride now. Dont want to be riding on glass cranks much longer!
Today saw Matt and Keith take a short 1.5 hour ride out into the hills, again loaded up to the Max with weighted panniers etc. First puncture of the year for Keith. Swiftly mended my Matt! Good practise! matts knee is still a little sore, well alot sore really, but hopefully get it seen to early next week. M
This week we are featured in the Garstang Courier, once again it's a nice picture, even the details are correct. But unfortunately they have missed of the website www.3peaks3bikes.co.uk
Sunday (April 1st) saw us ride 50 + miles fully loaded, over Rivington then passing through Haslingden, Helmshore and Ramsbottom. Before returning via Egerton, Turton Tower and climbing over Rivington again from the Belmont side. It isn't getting any easier yet. Keith
